The Fabulous Festival of Lanterns held on Friday, February 8, featured fanciful activities to fascinate the fems and gents that came to fandango the night away while benefiting The Florence Crittenton Agency and celebrating Chinese New Year.

The Festival began with a cocktail hour as guests made their entrance onto the elaborately decorated scene and began perusing the auction items.

There was a sports package featuring signed basketballs from Coaches Pearl and Summitt and Titan tickets, a Music package featuring an autographed guitar and concert tickets, a spa/ bootcamp package, an entertainment package with tickets for movies and live performances, Dinner packages for home and tailgating, a home decor package, a trip to a four star resort in Cyprus, and a beautiful piece of jewelry donated from the coffers of Jewelry Television. This is a just mere sampling of the goodies in this year’s auction.

Committee Chairs Amy Skalet and Tori Rose, along with their committee Whitney Cleveland, Brian Davis, Kelly Fletcher, Whitney Haslam, Lori Johnson, and Meg Lonon, created a wonderful and exciting evening to encourage the fun crowd to come out and support the agency.

After dining on delicious oriental delicacies, the attendees were ready to finish bidding and find out who the lucky winners would be for the Year of the Rat.

The excitement built by the fast paced auction couldn’t be contained for long, and the dance floor became the place to be for the rest of the evening.

Many were heard to exclaim as they departed in the night - I simply can’t wait for next year.
