What is the average stay for clients?
The average residential stay for a client is around three months, but continuum care means that FCA is involved with the client throughout foster care or in-home counseling.  Therefore a client can be involved with FCA from the time they enter custody until they reach 18.

Isn't the Florence Crittenton Agency just for pregnant teens?
No. Although FCA was originally established as a maternity home, it has grown over the years into a multi-faceted residential treatment facility for young women. Teen pregnancy is still our core program - prevention, pregnancy and parenting, but our programs extend to teens in crisis, drug and alcochol dependencies, and counseling, as well.

Does FCA serve only teens in Knox County?
No. In fact, over the last year we have provided services to young people in 33 different counties throughout East Tennessee.

Does the Agency provide help for teens with drug and alcohol problems?
Yes. By combining traditional alcohol and drug treatment techniques with counseling and education, clients are given individualized treatment and support.

Can clients continue their education while at FCA?
Yes. Our residents receive onsite education at New Pathways Academy, our private school with category 1, alternative school and special education endorsements from the  state, and GED preparation is available for older students.
