The Child And Parenting Skills (CAPS) Program of The Florence Crittenton Agency is an education/support group for first-time teen parents with identifiable high-risk factors. This program operates within the school system and meetings are held during school hours.  The educational program focuses on parenting a child under two years of age.

Parents are assisted in nurturing the physical, emotional, social, and cognitive development of their individual child. Each parent and child is recognized as unique individuals worthy of healthy, nurturing love.

The CAPS Program offers Support Group Meetings and Home Visits. Individualized support is provided along with a chance to share common experiences, feelings, and information with peers.

Availability of additional support systems and assistance programs are offered through CAPS Referral Network. Parents are assisted in such areas as family planning, childcare, employment, education, and finances.
